Project Idea or Description:
Female leadership in software engineering is significantly below the proportions of other fields.
Narrowing gender equality in a traditionally male-dominant field can lead to technological improvements and advanced competitiveness.
Nurture female leadership and involve them in role modeling.
Introduce a comprehensive research component to undergraduate education and study the impact on graduate enrollment.
Increase female enrolment in software engineering graduate programs.
How will this idea advance broadening participation in computing?
Narrow the disproportions for women in software engineering. Engage women in software engineering careers and education.
A resource or asset that would be very valuable to add to my project:
I am seeking a collaborator with expertise in education research and evaluation plan.
I am seeking a collaborator with established outreach to women in tech communities or/and NCWIT or similar.
