I aim to: learn the intricacies of proposal development, refine my fundamental research questions, and network.

My Project Goal:

The goal of the project is to enhance engagement in STEM, improve student retention, elevate degree attainment, and bolster transfer from 2 year to 4 year institutions.

Project Idea or Description:

Utilize five interventions to address the above stated goals:

Transfer readiness, Curriculum redesign, Unlocking student opportunities, Engagement with schools across the pipeline, and Develop a support structure.

How will this idea advance broadening participation in computing?

In the sense that research across STEM involves computational components (aggregation, organization, simulation, etc.), this work will expose students to coding practices and various software.
